From today’s First Reading:
But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone to preach?
And how can people preach unless they are sent?
~ Romans 10:14-15
In every life, there is a story pleading to be told.
In every heart, there is a yearning crying to be fulfilled.
In every soul, there is a people there is a consciousness shouting to be unleashed.
There are storytellers who see the story and tell what everyone has known all along,
There are prophets who are able to proclaim what we feel deeply in our innermost.
There are leaders who speak the truth about us that we are often afraid to face.
I have met storytellers, prophets, and leaders in my life
who have inspired, formed and pushed me into action all these years.
I have also strove to be one myself – a prophet, a poet, a fool.
It is a thrilling an never-ending story.
It is a profound yearning that is never quenched.
It is a universal consciousness that is in each one of us.
Behind the story and the longing and the awareness
is the fact that we are all one,
yet striving to be different and unique.
Aha life!
Ah, Life!
