Being a good and upright person is no guarantee to a peaceful and happy life. In my life, some of the best and most upright people I have known have hardly known peace and have often had every reason to be miserable. But because of their goodness and uprightness, they are able to weather the wildest of storms and keep their equanimity in the face of the worst adversities. Because of their goodness and uprightness, not a hair on their head is ever destroyed and by their perseverance and fidelity, they manage always to come to a happy ending.
