Jesus replied, “There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name
who can at the same time speak ill of me.
For whoever is not against us is for us.”

I am aware that I have done bad things in my life, sometimes to myself and oftentimes towards others. Sometimes small things but there have been times I have been bad big time. But when I am most myself, when I am with and for the Lord; I know that I will always choose to be good and do the things that are good and pleasing in God’s sight.
I am not blind nor deaf to the times I have dealt in lies and falsehoods, from little white lies to monstrous deceptions. There have been times I have been scheming and duplicitous. But when I am truly myself, when I am with and for the Lord; I know I shall always speak the truth and live by it, even if this might mean discomfort, pain or even death.
I have done some ugly things in my life and have brought some ugliness in some people’s lives, sometimes inadvertently and sometimes with malice. But when I am my authentic self, when I am with and for the Lord; I know that I shall always choose what is beautiful and work to make this world and the lives of people around me better and more delightful.
