What A Fool Believes?

Conventional wisdom is based on common sense and what is rational,
as in, “What goes up must come down.”
or as in the laws of Physics, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
or as in human relationships, “Love begets love.”
or as in the spiritual life, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Breakthroughs, on the other hand, are based on paradigm shifts
that are often counter-cultural and counter-intuitive.
Conventional wisdom says justice is about revenge and getting even,
as in tooth for a tooth, eye for an eye.
Counter-cultural says: “Love your enemies and do good to those who hate you.” Conventional wisdom says that kingdoms belong to kings.
Counter-intuitive says “Blessed are the poor, for the kingdom of heaven shall be theirs.” Or, consider the laws of survival against the challenge
“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”
