There are a lot of storms raging in the world today and many more are brewing and looming in the horizon. The same-sex debates/discussions continue, calling into question the very nature of marriage and the role of the family in society. Racial relations are raw with tensions anew and still struggling with the past. Financial markets are once more in panic over the Greek situation. Fundamentalists persist on wrecking havoc and sowing fear in the hearts of many in the Middle East. The environment continues to be despoiled and degraded, irreparable it seems.
And in homes and families, there are also storms blowing: lost jobs, lost homes, hunger, sadness, conflicts, addictions, anger, depression. Everyone seems too focused on their own selves. Every man for himself. Not enough caring. Not enough sharing.
Through it all, I hold on to my faith trusting that the Lord will make all these things right and beautiful. In His time. In His way. But there are many times, the Lord seems to be asleep in the boat. And I cry out with the disciples, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
When we abide in him and he abides in us we sleep through all the storms too, yoked with Jesus, our soul resting in God!!!! God fights the battle; we rest in God! We are hid in Christ in God!!! Christ in you, the hope of glory!!!! Praise God!!!!!!!! Knowing the Truth, Jesus is the Truth, and the Truth sets us free! We need to anchor our soul in Christ and be the Light, be the city set on a hill, be the bride, the new Jerusalem; arise, shine; be the light as Jesus said we are, as he is the true Light, and let his glory live in and through us to fill the world with his Light! Jesus gives us his glory and we need to step up and take it!! Now is the time! Today is the day of salvation! Today is always the day for God’s children to awaken as sleepers from the dead and Christ gives us Light!! When our eye is single and sound our whole body is full of light and we can see the world as Christ sees it and be the light, a lighthouse, a city set on the hill! Our Father is above all and through all and in all and it is time for us to know the hidden truth revealed in Jesus, Christ in you, and start doing the Will of our Father on earth as it is in heaven. We are the hands and feet! Heal, deliver and set free! Do the works done in the beginning; remember our First Love (Rev 2:4-7). We repent and do the works the first followers of Jesus did. “If not, I will come to you and remove your lamp stand, unless you repent…to those who conquer I grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God!” Rev 2:5-7. If Jesus told the thief on the cross, today you will be with me in Paradise, we can by faith conquer and eat of the tree of life in the paradise of God today, now and forever and ever. Amen. Hallelujah!! It is time to arise, shine and bring Christ’s Light to everyone we meet. We need to listen, hear and do what the Father tells us to do and do only what we see the Father doing on earth as it is in heaven! Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven! We are the city set on a hill and we need to take off the bushel basket and shine the true light of Jesus that enlightens every human into the darkness! The fathers fell asleep, but we the children of God, led by the Spirit of God; what the world has been groaning and longing for in travail until Christ is formed in us!!!!!!!! Arise, shine!!!!!!!!
